Aonghus McNally provided what could only be described as a world class show that while obviously painstakingly and meticulously planned possessed a spark of spontaneity that left us both exhausted with laughter and imbued with his infectious vitality.
By the end of the gala we each had a favourite act that we couldn’t stop talking about and it was astonishing to see such diverse tastes fulfilled. Ultimately, it was a rare privilege to be treated with such consistently excellent entertainment, not to mention while supporting such a worthwhile cause.
I’d like to offer the organisers a very sincere thank you for their inspiring and worthwhile work.

“I really enjoyed the diverse range of musical acts that showcased a wide variety of musical styles including classical, bossa nova, choirs and tango amongst others, in an intimate and packed venue. The choir were amazing and the compere drew the whole night together with his enthusiasm and energy.
The venue was fantastic and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful or enthusiastic. It was an amazing event that managed to keep in focus the purpose of the night and the work of the hospice, but did so in a way that was celebratory and joyful. It was a great way to spread the word about fantastic work the Hospice do, in an relaxed atmosphere of togetherness, remembrance and community. A very special night and hopefully there will be more!

“I thought the entire evening was very varied and entertaining. The energy
and enthusiasm of the performers was wonderful and it was refreshing to
see so many talented performers give so freely of their time and all in a
good cause.”

I found the night full of warmth, shear good will and community spirit.
Aonghus McAnnally shared with us his heartfelt story about his dad’s passing and moved people in how he spoke about the Irish Hospice Foundation.
Also, I knew we were in the presence of greatness with such talent but wow it really did blow me away.
I didn’t want the night to end.

A brilliant night. I found the diversity of artists really absorbing. I had no idea what time it was when I left!
It started with a new composition, created especially for the event, that set my mind wandering off to summer woodlands and picnics with friends, and went on through folk music, tango dancing, funky grooves and ended with the sultry notes of bossa nova. Each act took me to a different place in my own stash of memories. And Aonghus McAnally kept it flowing excellently.
There were also a whole load of raffle prizes at the end!! – great to be in with a realistic chance to bring some goodies home.
I found a lot of good energy that night, both from the stage, behind the scenes and the audience, themselves.
Great stuff!!
